Birthday Celebrations

Many staff members never experienced a birthday celebration until they worked for Cherish. While Birthdays are not commonly celebrated in Uganda, we love to make each staff member feel uniquely loved with a special gift, surprise birthday meal, or cake!

Field Trips

We believe children can learn incredible things outside of the classroom with inspiring hands-on learning experiences! We would love for the teens in Cherish’s Equip program and the children in Cherish’s Foundational program to have the opportunity to go on a field trip!

Sports Balls

We open the doors to the community to play on Cherish’s Futbol (soccer) field and volleyball court. We are looking to purchase at least 10 new quality soccer balls and 10 new quality volleyball to last us.

Classroom Supplies

Sports Attire

Team sports can be fundamental team in building character and camaraderie. At Cherish, the futbol field is also used as a place for ministry - community members gather here and can let go in a safe place. Your donation will allow Cherish to continue connecting with community members through sports.

Monthly Staff Event

Cherish staff members are the ones on the ground doing the hands-on hard work. We believe that when we pour into them, we pour into our ministry. A monthly staff event helps the Cherish team bond and can refill their cup after a month of hard work.

Community Soccer Tournament

Cherish’s Futbol (Soccer) field has unexpectedly become one of the best places for ministry at Cherish. We open Cherish’s gates to the community - and this gathering space is where we can share Jesus’ love and educate people on HIV. A community soccer tournament would be more than a competitive game - it would be a chance to reach out to our neighbors.

Projector

We need a new projector and projector screen at Cherish Uganda. From our sermons and worship services to special movie nights - we need a way to cast the visuals for crowds! The projector set can also be used at outreach events for the community.

Smartphones (iPhone)

We all know iPhones are user-friendly. There is little "training" that must come when we use Apple products. iPhones are reliable and have great cameras for Ugandan staff members to capture content and update us on what's happening on the ground.

Music Set for YAPs

A part of the new equip educational program is to prepare teens for employment. We are teaching students useful skillsets such as sewing, hair styling, and computer skills. We would love to also teach students how to play instruments (i.e. keyboard, guitar, drums, etc.) for those interested in pursuing music, sound, and/or production.

Security Package

We're looking at getting solar panels installed to run a security system of cameras around Cherish. The solar panels will also power more lighting around Cherish to help the security team that works the night shifts.
