We are thrilled to share some exciting updates and transitions happening within our organization. As you may have noticed, we have recently revamped our website and redefined our mission statement and vision. We want to take this opportunity to explain the rationale behind these changes and how they align with our commitment to serving our community.

Traveling to Uganda used to feel like entering a space time-continuum. Everytime I would step foot in the Entebbe Airport , it seemed like I had never left. The same woman worked at the local cafe, the same employees worked at Banana village (the hotel near Cherish), and the same consistent coworkers and kids at Cherish Uganda. My July trip felt different.

It seems like everyone is talking about AI. If you’re not familiar with the buzz, you probably do know that technology is changing fast. The possibilities can be exciting and also scary. As followers of Christ, we are called to bring light into the world and be good stewards as we do. In this rapidly changing digital age, new technologies are emerging that can help us fulfill this mission more effectively.

Cherish's 2022 pilot program for children's education was a success! This year, the program has more than tripled in size. Now, 57 children are learning on-site at Cherish Uganda, ranging in age from 4 to 14 years old.
