Three-Phase Development

Phase One:  Outpatient Health Center

Care & Treatment

  • HIV Testing and Counseling
  • ARV Administration (in collaboration with established centers)
  • Adherence Support
  • Pharmacy
  • Laboratory Services including blood counts, Urinalysis and testing for TB and Malaria
  • Urgent Care, including management of opportunistic infection

Nutritional Support

  • Resuscitation and stabilization services for severe malnutrition
  • Agricultural demonstrations for growing nutritional dietary supplements
  • Growth charts & weight monitoring
  • Supplemental nutritional support
  • Nutrition education for Mothers

Training & Mobilization

  • Up-skilling of medical professionals within the community
  • Training and mobilization of Village Health Teams (VHTs) comprised of health workers and identified health mentors within the community to serve hard-to-reach populations
  • Emergency Triage
  • Resuscitation and stabilization of severe respiratory and circulatory cases prior to transfer to higher level service providers

Phase Two:  Inclusion of Ancillary Services and Prevention of Maternal to Child Transmission (PMTCT) Services

The second phase of Cherish Health Center will expand services to provide PMTCT services aimed at the prevention of maternal to child transmission of HIV, as well as several ancillary services. 
 

Ancillary Services

  • Radiology (plain radiographs)
  • Physical and Occupational Therapy
  • Counseling and Chaplain Services

Care and Treatment

  • Antenal and Postnatal Care
  • Immunizations
  • ARV Administration (autonomous)

Phase Three:  Inpatient Hospital Care

In Phase 3 Cherish Health Center will provide an in-patient ward with full capacity of 20 beds and 24-hour physician coverage
