We hope this video helps you and your guests connect with the need we have this World AIDS Day.
We ask that you gather your guests and play this 11 minute video. Since there are personal videos and personal stories involved, this video is intended for your hosting/sharing with intimate groups but not for posting on Facebook for promotion. Thank you!
Suggested Agenda/Use of Hosting Kit Materials
(1) Welcome Guests
(2) Pass out HIV Pop Quiz - make it competitive by offering the winner a prize! Read off the answer key to find the winner ***(note: correction to the answer key for question #3 - “Saliva” should not be circled.
(3) Watch the Video we will post here later this week of Cherish & team & the Phillips
(4) After the video, pass out the photos of the moms & babies. These photos have the link to give on the back. ***(note: www.cherishuganda.org/wad is the correct link, do not capitalize the WAD)
(5) Have fun celebrating the progress we’ve made with HIV care!

Provide drinks and/or food
Have your guests take the HIV pop Quiz
Show the video we’ll email you the week of the event.
After the video, handout the photos so the donors know where to give
Make sure your guests feel Covid-safe. Have your event outdoors (weather permitting), virtually, or have guests wear masks. Throw a few hand sanitizers around the party, keep up with your local COVID news & restrictions to keep keep you and your guests safe!

What if a guest prefers to write a check?
That’s great! Checks must be made out to “Cherish A Child USA” and sent to the following address:

What if someone whats to be involved but can’t contribute right now?
If they’re able to give even $5, they will automatically be subscribed to the Cherish newsletter to be updated. If $5 is still too much, they can sign up for the newsletter on our website.
COVID numbers are rising in my area, what should I do?
Take your campaign online, require masks at your event, do a drive through even, or drop off mini party bags to your guests with the balloons, napkins and cups so they can participate from their home - make sure to hop on a zoom call to watch the video together or email the video out. Whatever your comfortable with!

MATERIALS
HIV Pop Quiz & Answer Key
We suggest using the HIV quiz at the start of the night to get people to gather around. We also recommend offering a prize to the person with the highest score on the quiz. We threw in extra t-shirts, a bag, and a tumbler that you can use for the winner’s prize. This will be a fun & competitive way to start off the evening, and a nice icebreaker to say that all of us have a lot to learn about HIV!
